Limited window to access $7 Million Ohio training grants

Sep 26, 2016

On September 22, the Ohio Development Services Agency (DSA) announced an additional round of training grant funding through the Ohio Incumbent Workforce Training Voucher Program. The total amount of funding available statewide will be $6.9 million, which is the same as last year.

The program can reimburse companies for 50% of the cost of employee training expenses, capped at $75,000 per entity and $4,000 per employee.

Applications for funding will be accepted electronically via the DSA website. Companies can begin to complete applications now, but must submit the application when DSA begins accepting electronic submissions on October 14 at 10:00 am. Funds will be awarded on a first come, first served basis. This is a highly competitive program and once the State begins accepting applications, the funding is likely to be completely awarded within minutes.
