Opportunity:

A Global Fortune 500 manufacturer was significantly expanding its research and development capabilities on its headquarters campus, which is an anchor in the community. The company was considering establishment of a new R&D pilot plant in one of two shuttered manufacturing facilities located in separate states. The client engaged Silverlode to identify and secure state and local assistance to support the creation of a new R&D facility, which in turn would add a significant number of new jobs.

Solution:

Silverlode identified and secured a $3 million Ohio Third Frontier grant to develop the new R&D facility in Ohio. The grant enabled Ohio to be selected as the final location for the expansion. We led the client through all phases of the incentives process and Silverlode continues to assist the client with incentives procurement and project management activities for their facilities throughout the U.S.
