Silverlode conducted a mock site selection project and evaluated RFI responses and processes of Michigan Counties and the MEDC.
Silverlode was engaged by MEDC to conduct a mock site selection project to assess the quality of responses by Michigan counties in a competitive site selection request for information (“RFI”).
Silverlode created and submitted a hypothetical site selection scenario based on a recent actual Silverlode project.
Silverlode reviewed and evaluated the responses from 15 counties with a proprietary weighted approach which accounts for the relative importance of site/location factors. Silverlode conducted site visits with three finalist locations. We also completed a comparable review of RFI responses for similar projects in competitive states and evaluated the experience with MEDC as an umbrella organization.
Silverlode prepared individual reports for each county which included best practice response guidelines; an evaluation of specific sites submitted, county websites, presentation of information, and location factors; and recommendations.
