Silverlode provided economic development strategy for several creative projects in an inner-ring suburb.
The City of Shaker Heights, an inner-ring suburb of Cleveland, was struggling to increase its tax base as a completely built-out and predominantly residential community. The city engaged Silverlode to help develop an economic development strategy and facilitate creative alternatives for growth.
Silverlode conducted an economic analysis of a declining commercial district. We used the results of our study to help the city with community planning, land use planning, and economic development planning for the district.
Silverlode also provided strategic support for the development and launch of an economic development strategy and associated marketing plan for business attraction and retention. We helped to structure a public private partnership to create a new technology business incubator by composing terms which were advantageous for the city and the incubator operators.
