As GBX Group’s Corporate Counsel, Cary Zimmerman provides counsel on commercial agreements for the company’s consulting services team and regulatory compliance guidance on data privacy and cybersecurity matters. She also provides counsel across business lines on a variety of corporate governance, securities and other transactional matters.

Cary joined GBX after practicing law at Kohrman Jackson & Krantz and Walter | Haverfield, where she supported small and mid-sized companies at all stages of their life cycles, with a specialty in corporate and securities law, and provided counsel to real estate investment fund sponsors on fund structure, operations, and compliance. Earlier in her career, Cary served as corporate counsel for Progressive Insurance, a Fortune 500 company, where she advised executives on securities and corporate governance matters and supported various business units with their transactional and regulatory needs.

Cary serves as a board member for the Great Lakes Science Center.

A graduate of Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science with a French minor, Cary received both her Juris Doctor and Master of Science in Management – Finance from Case Western Reserve University.
