Baystate Health, the largest health care organization in western Massachusetts, engaged Silverlode multiple times to estimate the system’s economic and fiscal impacts. Baystate uses Silverlode's economic impact studies to help communicate the impact of the health system to the private sector, community partners, government entities, and other stakeholders.
Silverlode estimates the impact of Baystate’s operations and construction activities on the Commonwealth and multiple regions, counties, and cities. Silverlode estimates both system-wide impacts and individual hospital impacts. Numerous GIS maps are included to illustrate the geographic breadth of Baystate’s facilities, jobs, patients, purchasing, and economic impact.
